Ten years ago came these swedish rockers classic second album ”Something’s Dripping”, followed by an european tour, which really opened up peoples eyes and ears for BONAFIDE.
After one EP and six albums time has now come for a live show to be recorded and released. Waiting fans have finally got their wish fulfilled. The fellowship that is always there or created together with the audience is clearly noticeable here as well. Playfulness and glimpse in the eyes, along with down to earth rock n’ roll reflects this band. Now it is time to take part of ”Live At KB”. Relax, drop your worries and let yourself be swept along. Let us get this party started.

What strikes me right away is the amazing soundquality. Kulturbolaget in Malmö seems to be the perfect place for recordings of live material, as it sounds bigger than in a club, though with a huge sense of presence. Like an exciting vibration in the air a feeling of being there for real comes over you. We listeners get to experience this moment together with the band in a genuine way.
In this live edition we will find a good mix of old and new, but much material comes of course from previous mentioned production (2009).

This album contains laid back, heavy guitarsound along with a safe and strong drumming, for example in “Bottle Of Jack”. On the contrary a little extra eager guitarattacks make me smile big in ”Dirt Bound”. It is impossible to sit still and I sing along. The rhythm is great and you can happily shake off the thoughts on someone who may have been a little too cocky against you the other day or so. Free your inner irritation and then let it fade away into a happier and stronger mood.
“Hard Living Man” gives a cool, rocking feeling that will make you want to bounce on the spot.
I get full of laughter from the funny lyrics in “Peg Legged Pete”, but it adds joy and craziness in the repertoire. The music is wonderfully nice and it grows stronger every time you listen. You simply get into a good mood. The intro and rhythm through this whole piece makes one of my feet move on toe when I sit down, so that the whole leg moves at a fast pace. Here we also find a little bit of jamming and an extra touch of blues. The relaxed feeling of being on a train rolls over me and thoughts wander off from south of Sweden and may end up in southern America instead.

Take some AC/DC, a touch of KISS and add a little bit LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Out comes four southern swedish men, but with their own clean rock sound and more warmth, depth and strength. Skilled musicians who knows what they are doing and gives us heaviness and joy.
Characteristic for this group is the typical rich and fat guitar sound, which is simultaneously intensified by the bass, giving a kind of vibrating echo and almost moving towards backbeats. Something else that directly makes you recognise BONAFIDE is Pontus Snibbs nice, a bit raspy and cool bluesrock voice.

No concert without ”Fill Your Head With Rock”. That one closes the original LP-tracks. An amazingly powerful moment comes when the frontman leaves the microphone and sings along with everybody in the club. The lovely cheerful atmosphere rises to the top.
This is how a record should end, with a song that makes you want to hear the whole album all over again. After a concert the audience would now have shouted for encores. On the CD follows four bonus tracks, with "Night Time" being the final, where they give us a slower pace than usual and almost three minutes longer than the studio version. Just choose which ending you feel for.
Among these last pieces we also find “Power Down”, a tune with a lot of blues from their latest and awesome album “Flames” (2017).

Sweden tour starts of course at KB and on the same day as the release. When May comes these guys will play on “Bonfest” in Scotland (a tribute to Bon Scott). They continue out in Europe later this year.
While sitting here listening, I can see it in front of me, how Pontus in "No Doubt About It" points to a number of people in the crowd when he sings ”You, and you, and you…!”
When Snibb a couple of times asks ”Mår ni bra?/ Are you feeling good?” we can all happily agree with ”Ja!/Yes!”
Although the tempo between the different songs varies, they keep on performing without unnecessary breaks, just as usual. The energy never ends.
