Kiss Kiss Bang - Hungry, High & Seeing Things - English version

Kiss Kiss Bang 200Classic rock, together with its forefathers and representatives, is not getting any younger. Therefore succession must come! But these musical geniuses are not so easy to find if you do not pay attention or listen to them. Therefore, I made my way through the underground and present to you today the classic rock band KISS KISS BANG. The American band hails from the scalding heat of Kentucky and their music is just as scalding hot.

"Hungry, High & Seeing Things" is the name of their latest EP, which features four solid tracks. Hungry for more music, you definitely get as soon as the first song "Solid Gold" sounds. The impression is convincing as soon as the song starts and an infectious riff spreads. In addition, there is refreshing, poppy wind, through the voice of the singer. Partly in one voice or in two voices - the power doesn't let up. Towards the end, the guitar solo rounds off the general mood, which can be heard, but is still expandable by quite a bit. Basically, a solid entry has been created, which, however, is pressed too much into the musical norm.

For the following track "High Price (for Peace of Mind)" a nice music video has been created, which appears exclusively in red color and creates a cozy and attractive space. Even if we can hardly imagine it, I can see the smoky and familiar bars in which KISS KISS BANG presents the tracks. This time the troupe appears with monstrous guitars, belting out a melodic "Rock `N` Roll" riff and forcing you to get up from your chair. Probably one or the other could rediscover here the part "High" of the EP title.

"Easy 2 Love" is a number that convinces immediately. If the two numbers before resembled each other in sound, this one completely stands out. Dressed in a rough and boisterous dress, appears a mixture of good old classic rock and alternative. Stomping beats and thundering beats of the guitars create a dangerous tension to break in the chorus. The vocals are also lowered a few octaves and accompanied by organ synthesizers. If the band would continue to combine the elements from past classic rock days with modern elements, this could be a great project in the future.

Under "Slow Motion" you clearly imagine something different than what is presented to you. Because the speed is not slow at all! If I criticized before that the first song would be pressed too much into a norm, they prove the opposite here. The guitar solos are a lot more free and creative design, which not only fit atmosphere, but also take off. With some sound effects, the guys have played on their voices, which highlight the background vocals and at the same time serve as melodic support.

With "Hungry, High & Seeing Things", the band has put a solid entry on the market. The beginnings stand out in terms of production, as well as instrumental playing. But as it seems, they became bolder with each track. By creatively trying out modern technology, they have interspersed changes in the last two songs that will guide them on the right path. Because their passion is clearly visible! It's all worth listening to the band and get excited about young beginnings.
